Bosco ai Frati

Not far from the noise of the city there is an oasis of peace and serenity whose origins are lost in the past centuries. The convent of Bosco ai Frati ( exact translation wood of the Friars ) is located very close to the older medicean villas: The Cafaggiolo and The Trebbio Villa and still keeps intact most of the crests and emblems of the dynasty proudly commisioned for it in addition to a masterpiece by one of the most remarkable artist of florentine renaissance; the wooden crucifix by Donatello.
